6 Cleaning Tips You Didn’t Know About
1. Coffee Filters Aren’t Just for Coffee
We bet you didn’t know you could use a coffee filter to clean glass and mirrors instead of paper towels. They leave no streaks or lint — and they’re cheap.
2. Remove the Toilet Ring
Drop in a bubbling denture tablet and leave it for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Did you know that you can cut a piece off a Magic Eraser and float it in your toilet overnight and voila! No more toilet ring!
3. No Stainless Steel Wipes? No problem
Fingerprints on your gorgeous fridge seem to be everlasting. If you’ve run out of stainless steel wipes, don’t worry! A drop of rubbing alcohol and microfiber cloth will do the trick just as well. For the extra shine, go over it with a drop of olive oil, always wiping in the same direction!
4. Brighten Your Grout
If you have dirty, dingy grout, pour a bit of cola onto the area, let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe clean. For tough stains, use a cleaning toothbrush to scrub the grout before wiping the area clean OR use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for cleaning white grout effortlessly. It never fails us!

5. The Task No One Wants to Do
Baseboards get dusty, and the best way to clean them is to use a supply you likely already have on hand. Dryer Sheets! I know, it sounds weird, but they not only clean up your baseboard, it coats them to repel hair and dust. Oh, and it’ll smell fresher!

6. Magic Fountain Cleaner
This is one we definitely didn’t know about. Your beautiful fountain is becoming filled with green slime, and you just don’t know what to do! We do – pour a generous amount of Hydrogen Peroxide (about 1/3 – 1/2 of a 16 oz bottle) into the fountain water. The amount really depends on how big your fountain is. Nothing will happen right away – but give it a day and you will be shocked to see every bit of green slime gone and your fountain returned to crystal clean beauty. It does not hurt the wildlife either; because it turns into oxygen by the time those 24 hours are up!
